These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CalendarProject software and related materials ("Software") provided by Cornfield Codeworks ("we", "us", or "our").

By installing, hosting, or using CalendarProject, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Software.

1. Nature of the Software

CalendarProject is self-hosted software designed for personal, household, and family organizational purposes. It is deployed and operated on your own independent hardware and private network infrastructure. CalendarProject is not provided as a commercial software-as-a-service (SaaS) or hosted cloud platform.

2. User Responsibility & Operation

Because CalendarProject operates in your self-hosted environment, you are solely responsible for:

Providing, configuring, and maintaining the underlying hardware, operating systems, and network environment.
Maintaining appropriate security controls, network firewalls, and access credentials for your local network.
Managing regular backups of your database and configuration files.
Ensuring that any household members or guests interacting with your local installation are authorized by you.

3. Third-Party Integrations & API Services

CalendarProject provides capabilities to integrate with third-party calendar providers, including Google Calendar (via Google APIs) and Apple/iCloud Calendar (via CalDAV):

Your use of Google services is governed by Google's applicable terms, including the Google Terms of Service.
Your use of Apple/iCloud services is governed by Apple's applicable terms, including the iCloud Terms and Conditions.
Cornfield Codeworks is an independent software project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC, Apple Inc., or any other third-party provider.
Third-party providers may modify, suspend, or terminate API access or services at their discretion. We are not responsible for any unavailability, service changes, or data disruptions caused by third-party services.

4. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to CalendarProject, including its design, code, and branding ("Cornfield Codeworks"), remain the property of Cornfield Codeworks and its contributors. You are granted a personal, revocable, non-exclusive license to use and run the Software for personal and household purposes in accordance with these Terms.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

CORNFIELD CODEWORKS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR ACCURATE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. YOU ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH RUNNING SELF-HOSTED SOFTWARE.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CORNFIELD CODEWORKS, ITS AUTHORS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, DEVICE MALFUNCTION, CORRUPTED CALENDAR SCHEDULES, MISSED APPOINTMENTS, OR HARDWARE ISSUES) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

7. Termination & Revocation

You may terminate your use of the Software at any time by stopping and deleting your local installation and purging any stored database records. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue updates to the Software at any time without prior notice.

8. Modifications to Terms

We may revise these Terms occasionally to reflect updates to the Software or legal requirements. The most current version of these Terms will always be posted at https://cornfieldcodeworks.com/calendarproject/terms with the effective date indicated at the top.
